Access to Affordable Health Care

The Center for Working Families is a founding member of the Health Care for All New York Campaign (HCFANY), which is dedicated to winning quality affordable health care for all New Yorkers. The HCFANY campaign is organized around a set of standards that we believe are essential to realizing this goal, and dedicated to pressing for comprehensive reforms in line with these standards.

Key HCFANY Standards:

• Guarantees everyone access to quality health care, regardless of income, race, disability, or where they live.
• Is affordable to every family's budget (including all of the costs: premiums,co-pays, deductibles, prescriptions, etc)
• Provides comprehensive care, including the full range of benefits people need
• Shares costs fairly between families, businesses and government.
• Serves the public good, with government an active regulator to ensure quality and efficiency, and with a high quality public insurance plan availible to all.
